The Compello Art "Gallery of Galleries", sponsored by the Saatchi Gallery, is primarily aiming to provide an international space for young artists and photographers to exhibit and sell their work.
The project is not just aimed at professionals or art students; anyone studying at a University will be able to submit work to the Gallery through their University or College. Exhibitors will be able to post images along with a detailed profile, with buyers being able to purchase works via the website. Selected artists and photographers, recommended by the Saatchi Gallery each month, will have their work exhibited both on a dedicated section of compelloart.com and the Saatchi Gallery’s own website.
While the Gallery itself won’t be launched until Spring 2007, project developers MTI are inviting students to begin adding works to the pre-launch site "as soon as humanly possible".
