I have been charged 3 times and havent recieved my oyster card, five e-mails have been sent not a single reply even though they promise a reply by the next working day. 2 phone calls where they promise to call you back - NOTHING!! Now they insist I write a letter to ask for a refund in over- payment.
I sent a complaint about paying for two oyster cards and requesting a refund for one of them after being given the wrong information by a tfl employee.I have been waiting for weeks and haven't heard anything since
I was issued with a refund note from Redbridge underground station on 1/10/07 for a pre paid refund of ?7.30.I have spoken to few people and on request faxed proff of refund note to Alison and nigel, put on long wating phone line, cut off after waiting 10 minutes.
i m a student in uk and i had applied for a student oyester and i was told that ill get 30% discount on usage of oyester but till march 2007 till now i hav not got a single pens discount on my usage i kept quite for a long time and with the help and comment of my frends i decided to complaint to you
i got an oyster card and a young person railcard, but the they did not reduce the cap to ?3.10, only to ?4.30. apparently you need a student oyster card as well to get the cap down to ?3.10. and if its only for tube journeys then theres no point because i either get two buses or a bus and a tube to college, not just tube. so its costing me about ?20 a week to commute to and from college which sucks.
I regret to inform you all that your student Oyster card is operating correctly. If you are not experiencing the discount levels that you expect this may be due to your Oyster "smart" card having identified that your grasp of language or ability to utilise the internet effectively is not adequate to fulfil "student" requirements.
......I await a resident pedants arrival to inform me that I have also failed in the correct grammatical usage of the english language. ;)
Every first year student with their head screwed on living within walking distance of college (I imagine the same goes for other London universities) will not have a student oyster photocard because of the lack of pre-pay discounts.
So what's the point of a student oyster photo card if a large chunk of students get no benefit from it? I really hope the ULU petition mentioned above has some mileage.
Also, I went and set up my reduced Oyster cap with my YP railcard. I haven't checked whether it's the ?3.10 advertised or actually ?4.30 mentioned above, but I really hope the former. It would be nice to think that TfL are actually doing something to help us for a change.
This is completely ridiculous, TFL takes money from my account and not issuing my oyster card cause college is not using their software...still doing it on paper application. Good way to rip student off! well done TFL, you setting the right examples to students.
It's because "Live! - Student Oyster Applications Online" is the 4th highest Google result for "student oyster". And they don't seem to be able to read (or realise that they aren't on the right website).
