The Recreational Clubs Committee (RCC) manages the group of clubs with the most expensive assets and most dangerous interests, including climbing, canoeing, fellwandering, driving around in old fire engines, belly dancing and drinking wine.
RCC clubs are the ones most likely to crash minibuses in entertaining ways, particularly if they have boats attached to the back of them or 5 tonnes of climbing gear on the roof.
The RCC has historically been one of the best-run CSCs, due mainly to the fact that mistakes lead to mountain rescue being called in.
