Imperial College Union RAG along with City and Guilds and all interested Clubs and Socieites will be co-ordinating a series of large collections across the South Kensington Campus during the first week of term (Jan 4th - 7th) and possibly beyond.
We desperately need volunteers to dress up and shake tins at students and staff all over the campus as well as organising small collections within departments.
There will be a meeting today (Tuesday 4th January) at 1pm in the City & Guilds College Union Office (Room 340, Mechanical Engineering Building, next door to the Humanities Department) to plan the fundraising operation for those interested in leading this appeal.
Collections are likely to take place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Guilds are to provide resources to make placards, dress up as monkeys, count the money, etc. All people wanting to help need to do is show up for one or more lunchtimes to do your bit.
If you are interested in helping, or you are on the committee of a society and are wishing to run your own fundraising campaign, then please contact us (email below) so that we can co-ordinate this effort in the best possible way so that the most amount of money can be raised for this desperate and extremely worthy cause.
Up to the minute information will be published here and on the RAG website
