Permanent Secretary Resigns

Edward Lord, ICU Permanent secretary, has resigned from that job.

Mr Lord was appointed last summer, when the former Union General Manager retired.

However, he has now resigned, as of May 31st. His duties are currently being delegated to other staff and sabbaticals. The Union have begun to search for a replacement but warn that this could take several months.

"Live!" is not able to discuss possible reasons for the departure or the performance of any staff member, nor to allow such comments in discussions.

The previous General Manager who held her post in the Union for around 15 years, rather than 9 months, did not resign, she retired.
