Long queues for validation of TfL student photocard forms are hopefully over, with an online application form available this year. Returning students can also order their cards before they arrive back at College, as long as they register using the Registry's online registration system beforehand.
Imperial students have typically had to pay full rate fares for their first few weeks back in College, as cards expire on 30th September before term starts. Long queues form in Sherfield for a week with students getting forms stamped.
Curiously, the paper forms are being advertised all over the college, with no mention of the online system so far.
In order to take part you will need to supply a digital photograph with very strict properties - if you do not TfL are likely to keep your money and make you pay £5 again.
Last year's Oyster screw-up - where the Registry changed their stamp slightly so TfL were rejecting applications - will hopefully be avoided with the online system.
