The 2007-08 Guilds VPA, VPFS, President and AAO all attended the executive committee this afternoon to ask for their full budget next year, coming away from the meeting successful.
Exec were very receptive to the arguments that next year's committee and clubs should not be punished for the mistakes made by this year's committee, agreeing that zero-funding Guilds was not in the best interests of the Union.
The committee wanted assurances that mistakes would not continue to happen, indicating they wanted some form of punishment for Guilds Vice President (Finance & Societies) Boon Koh. There is increasing annoyance at a number of members of this year's Guilds Exec, including not only the VPFS but also the VPA and Welfare Officer.
Next year's Guilds team have now taken on the job of completing the budget - although one was submitted eventually, there are deep concerns that money has not been allocated in the most effective way for both clubs and the central union.
