Guilds' annual send-up of Felix has got off to an early start this year, with a special issue informing students of the demise of Felix (although perhaps informing isn't quite the right term).
After an absence in 2006 due to no-one getting off their backsides to do it (and the Guildsheet editor becoming ICU President...), this year's Media Group team pledged to revive Gulix for a one-off summer attack on everyone and anyone in the College and Union.
The halting of Felix has provided the team with an excellent opportunity for a warm-up, with a black-and-white Gulix available in departments now and large colour versions up on poster boards. Media Group hopes to produce a meatier version next month, although it is facing cash flow problems of its own.
Gulix first appeared in 1998 under Hamish Common, achieving notoriety over the next few years due to the trouble it caused. Old copies of Gulix can be found in the Guildsheet archives. Yes, we know the archive hasn't been updated for ages.
