Those people desperate to reserve their place at Imperial's Summer Ball, taking place on 21st June 2008, can do so right now, with tickets on sale online. Ticket prices remain the same as last year and follow a similar trend, with prices increasing closer to the event.
Last year's ball was rare in recent years in that it actually turned a profit, even after the auditors had been through the books (something which usually results in a declared profit becoming a loss). It did not make as much as originally planned, however the four-tier ticket system will continue this year with normal and VIP versions of dinner and entertainments-only tickets.
No line-up has been announced yet, however the event is expected to follow the campus-wide format seen in the last couple of years. Ticket prices are as follows until 19th March:
- Ents: £25
- Dinner & Ents: £50
- VIP Ents: £50
- VIP Dinner & Ents: £65
After 19th March prices for standard tickets will rise by £5, with a further rise from 16th May to:
- Ents: £35
- Dinner & Ents: £60
- VIP Ents: £60
- VIP Dinner & Ents: £85
