At Sir Brian Hoskin's seminar on Tuesday, the organisers of this year's Science Challenge announced that the Science Challenge Finals will be held on March 18th in the IMAX Theatre, with a black tie reception afterwards held in the Energy Hall.
Sir Brian’s talk introduced his question “To what extent is geoengineering the solution to the climate change problem?” The talk was well received and sparked a lively discussion at the Q&A session and over drinks afterwards. The event was also broadcast live to hundreds of school pupils, with over 70 schools watching the launch event online last week. For those who have missed the talks so far, the slides and a video of will be available on the Science Challenge website.

Next week’s talk will be given by Dr Paul Snaith, VP Shell Global Solutions and Dr Phillip Campbell, Editor-in-Chief of Nature. They will each present their chosen question for the 2008 Science Challenge.
