Imperial students do like to leave it late - only 2 entries have been received so far!

There are just a few days left to enter the Science Challenge 2008, which will award £2500, a MacBook and a trip to CERN to one lucky Imperial student. However despite organizers offering 5 runners up prizes as well, there have so far been only 2 entries!

All Imperial Students, including PGs, can enter as many entries to the 2008 Science Challenge as they wish. To enter write individually (or as a team of up to four) 800 words on one of the five questions listed here.

Missed a seminar? All the events are recorded and can be viewed on the questions page.

This year is the third year that the Science Challenge has been run and each year has been bigger than the year before. This year the Challenge raised £30,000 attracting principal sponsorship from Shell and six other sponsors.

It is not unusual to have only received 2 entries so far, we expect the entries to come flooding in just before the deadline.

Tickets are also now on sale for the Black Tie After Party on March 18th. With Jazz, champagne and canapés, organizers are subsidising £100 tickets to the event down to just £15 pounds! More details.

Good luck!
