Imperial's student media will be descending on Shoreditch Town Hall at the end of November for the Guardian Student Media Awards, with publications on the shortlist in four categories.
Live! will be looking to repeat last year's success in the Best Student Website Category, while Felix is in the running for Best Student Newspaper, "A. Geek" for Student Columnist of the Year and Felix's sister publication, I,science, for Best Magazine.
The full shortlist will be out in the Media Guardian supplement on Monday, when Live!, Felix, A. Geek and I,science will find out who they are up against.
Student media at Imperial has been on winning form over the past few years, with Felix taking Best Student Newspaper in 2006 under Rupert Neate, and in the same year I,science was runner-up. stoic tv also had success that year, taking Best Broadcaster at the National Student Television Awards, with Greg Foot and Frankie Young picking up Best Male and Best Female. Successes also followed in 2007, with stoic tv's Minna Kane taking Best Female at the NaSTAs, Live! winning Best Student Website and Felix's Peter Dominiczak taking Best Travel Writer.
