Science Challenge Launch

The Annual RCSU Science Challenge kicks off on Thursday with guest speaker Lord Robert Winston.
Jad's back and the Science Challenge is coming!

This year's RCSU Science Challenge will be launched on Thursday 22nd January at 6pm in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building, with a video stream on their website and right here on Live!.

The questions for this year's essays will be announced at the event along with the details of the rest of the prizes, which last year included smaller cash prizes and an Apple Macbook. Organisers, led by former RCSU President Jad Marrouche, are promising it is going to be the biggest of it's kind so far, particularly as Jad has far less to do after the LHC blew up. Jad ran the hugely successful event two years ago which culminated in a reception at the Ritz.

It is already known that the first prize for Imperial entrants will be £5000, twice the amount won by Erika Cule last year, while schools entrants are vying for a scholarship to study at Imperial.

The live stream is embedded below, displaying a promo video and reminder of the details until just before 6pm on Thursday. Give it a whirl and let us know if it works!
