This Wednesday, Roushan Alam will be interviewing Loui Batley, better known as "Sarah from Hollyoaks", in her first interview since leaving the show last week.
Loui Batley played Sarah Barnes in hit Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

This Wednesday, IC Radio DJ Roushan Alam will be interviewing Loui Batley on "The Roushan Alam Show" in her first interview since leaving hit soap Hollyoaks last Thursday, 1st October.

Batley's character, Sarah Barnes, has featured in the show since October 2005, when the Barnes were introduced as a new family in the show.

Throughout her time on the soap Sarah has been involved in many key storylines, many revolving around her confused sexuality and modelling career.

Batley, 22, left the show in a dramatic plot which saw her plummet to her death in a skydive after one of her friends, Lydia, tampered with her parachute - a first for a UK soap.

The plot continued with the arrest of Zoë Carpenter, played by Zoë Lister, who was framed by Lydia.

The Roushan Alam Show will be broadcast LIVE this Wednesday, between 5pm and 7pm, on IC Radio. Listen online at ICRadio.com.

So when is Live actually going to do some proper reporting this year -- for example, covering the arriving freshers -- rather than pander to the Media Group?

I get more news through Facebook and Twitter feeds now than I do from Live. Shame on you.

If any Guildsmen, or anyone else for that matter, would like to write articles for Live! then maybe news coverage would be a little bit better.

Any Imperial student can submit an article to Live! Click here to find out how, and take a look at specific positions which are available.

As it is, you have me. I've not been in London over the summer. I'm a hall senior and have been busy this week preparing that, having just 4 hours sleep per night for a week. I'll probably be just as busy for the next fortnight, too.

Last year there was at least Kirsty and myself (and often Ashley) to divide the workload of writing for Live!, but unfortunately this year Kirsty's busy being Guilds President, Ashley is busy being ICU President and former Live! hack Andy Holland has now left Imperial, as far as I am aware.

I'll admit, I've missed an article or two... but I've tried to provide as much coverage as possible outside of term time, and hope that we're able to attract lots of freshers into the world of IC journalism at the freshers' fair.

Incidentally, I didn't see freshers moving in that eventful or exciting. Live! has never reported on it before and, incidentally, neither do most other student news websites. I will probably write a summary of how Freshers week has been at the end of the week, but something more exciting would have to happen during Freshers' week to attract our attention article-wise.

Lawrence.

To be honest any sort of story would be a turn up for the books for this website. What a load of bollocks

Yeah, well. Live!'s not much of a fun social activity when you're doing it all alone.
