Watching Imperial play this week was akin to waking up and finding my team - who reached the semi-finals of the European cup - relegated to League One. Or England playing Brazil.
Although, to be fair, the Oxford team had a crystal ball. Halfway through a question, either the team captain, or the girl sat next to him, would buzz immediately, with the most obscure answer: which, of course, turned out to be correct.
When Healey tried the same, he lost 5 points, rather unfairly, for answering "robin", instead of "bird", in response to football club mascots.
Nicolson answered his first correct starter, and, for a fleeting quantum, it seemed we had the ability to bounce back: but, alas, Oxford's smug team captain kept on buzzing.
Even when Imperial did manage to get possession, the questions asked were so bizarre, it's a wonder we received any bonus points at all.
I'd like to say that Oxford didn't deserve to win, call for a rematch, and take to the streets, but they well and truly kicked our arses - beating Imperial 260 to 170.
A big congratulations should still go out to the boys, the semi-finals is not to be scoffed at. Thanks to everyone who came down to the union to show their support, without you it still would have been possible, just not as fun.
Anyone who missed the show can catch it on BBC iPlayer until Monday evening.
