The C&G Media Group has revealed that the notorious "evil mastermind" of Imperial College Union's web editing team has been fiddling the results in the current highly scientific 'who is the cutest web editor' poll. Sam Sharpe, sometimes known as Darth Vader in a reference to his role in brutally suppressing opposition at ICU Council, used the database equivalent of a sledge hammer to break into the (apparently highly insecure) City & Guilds College Union Live! database before giving himself an extra 200 votes.
A spokesman for the Media Group wished to report that the damage to the database (though perhaps not to the reputation of this website as a legitimate opinion polling organisation) had been repaired early this afternoon. "This was a despicable act perpetrated by a very sick individual," he might have said, but Simon wasn't really listening.
The highly unethical Mr Sharpe who was previously under the illusion that he stood a chance of winning the poll now looks certain to be defeated. "We won't let him win," said the Media Group spokesman, and then added "not that we'd consider faking the results, or anything."
