The C&GCU / Faculty of Engineering Students Association elections enter their main phase tomorrow morning when voting begins in all departments.
This year the central Guilds / FoESA elections have been combined with those of the Departmental Societies. This has resulted in over 100 candidates taking part, which, it is hoped, will help boost turnout. All registered City & Guilds and Faculty of Engineering students will be able to vote in their department from 10 am to 5pm on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th March.
Specific instructions for various departments:
- Aero vote in Chem Eng
- Centre for Composite Materials (part of Aero Eng) vote in Chem Eng
- ISE 1 vote in EEE
- ISE 2/3/4 vote in either DoC or EEE but may not vote twice!
- Centre for Planning and Resource Control (IC-PARC) are considered part of Computing and vote in DoC
- Business School vote in Mech Eng
- Bioengineering vote in Mech Eng
Nomination papers for AGM (Round 2) positions are now up on all departmental noticeboards. Any student may stand for:
- Inter-departmental Activities Officer (organises inter-departmental events and the football tournament)
- Welfare Officer
- CGCA Rep (alumni officer)
- Guildsheet Editor
Elections for Round 2 posts will take place at the AGM (1pm, Tue 12 March, dB's) where Colours awards - and the ballot results - will be announced.
