As previously reported, the C&G Media Group, and Live! in particular are in such awe of London Student’s HodgeWatch campaign that we felt it vital that we launch a crusade of our own. Just days after the start of what C&G Media sources promised would be a long campaign Live! is proud to report our first minor victory.
C&GCU President Mustafa Arif, the individual credited with much of the original impetus required to get the ICTWatch campaign off the ground announced today that he had received, in his words “spam”, and was going to fill out an Information Systems Security Report Form. Much to Mr Arif’s dismay, he soon discovered that the form actually had to be signed by the individual responsible for IT within Imperial College Union (believed to be a certain Mr Sen Ganesh).
Live! is now urging all students at Imperial College to send their forms straight to the main ICU offices for signing, before they are whisked away. Mr Arif’s own form, addressed to “ICU, Beit towers” is already winging its way through the internal mail.
“We have not journeyed across the centuries, across the oceans, across the mountains, across the prairies, because we are made of sugar candy,” observed a C&G Media Group spokesman upon hearing the news that forms must make their way past one set of bureaucrats before they can reach the ones they were aiming for, adding “We are still masters of our fate. We are still captain of our souls…for it is better for us to perish in battle than to look upon the outrage of our nation and our altar.”
