The transport crisis has now reached a critical situation for clubs and soctities. Live! has learnt that over 7 clubs and socities from across the union have been affected by the minibus saga including Team Bo'.
A C&G Motor Club spokesman told Live! "We booked a minibus like we do every year to tow the backup trailer for Bo' on the London to Brighton Run. We only recieved an e-mail on Tuesday stating that our confirmed booking had been cancelled."
This is extremely serious for Team Bo', since a trailer is required to bring Bo' back from Brighton every year. Without a minibus, the trip which has entry fees costing over £150, may have to be cancelled.
Oliver Pell (VP (F&S)) told Live! "This is a complete disgrace. They only use a bus once a year and then this happens." Live! has learnt that a number of RCC clubs have also had minibusses cancelled which will result in them losing large deposits for accomodation.
DP(F&S) Ramnath Ramanan told Live! he was "deeply saddned by the situation, and that he could do nothing about it, as MoT's take a week to book". He told all concerned by the saga to turn up at Exec and seek compensation from the Union on Monday evening.
