Despite continued complaints about availability of papers prior to meetings, those for the next meeting of council (Monday, 6pm in the Union Dining Hall) seem to be having difficulty appearing in the relevant place. Whilst some papers did turn up on the 5th of January, (try looking at these dates ) some of the links currently showing as the agenda for Monday's meeting refer back to papers submitted to January's Council meeting.
Notably one of these is the President's report. The other is for the minutes of the Executive Committee which were rejected at the last meeting of Council as they were old versions that failed to incorporate corrections noted at subsequent meetings of the Executive. However despite the many interesting items of business that the Executive has dealt with since then, no minutes after the 25th November have been presented to Council. Bizzarly it is impossible to say what happened at the last Council meeting, as the link to the minutes for January actually points towards the minutes for November.
Still to appear on the website is more fees related stuff. Live! wonders whether these will appear in enough time for members of council to actually read them before they disscuss their content. One union source has already expressed their concern that this late presentation of many papers in advance is one way of getting policy past a Council who will not question (or even read properly) the papers prior to voting.
