Imperial RAG week ended a couple of weeks ago and so with it the operations of the Hit Squad for this year, or so it seemed. Now it seems their back for one last ‘special operation’. (Previous special ops having targeted ICU President, Sen Ganesh. [[1]|http://live.cgcu.net/news/?id=632], [[2]|http://live.cgcu.net/news/?id=634])

By popular demand, the Hit Squad have agreed to target Sir Richard Sykes, Imperial College’s Rector. A price of £1,000 has been put on his head. If the money is raised by the end of this week then the hit will be carried out.

Details of the Hit Squad’s plans remain sketchy. However, rumours abound that they may try to synchronise their actions with Comic Relief (aka Red Nose Day) which is this Friday. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that the Hit Squad is planning a ‘significant collaboration’ with other student RAG groups in Imperial.

A collection / sponsorship fund is being organised in an attempt to meet the Hit Squad’s price. Students (or indeed staff) wishing to contribute may do so by coming to the C&G Union Office (Mech Eng Room 340) at any time.

They should set up being able to pay by credit card online....

... then spam all college staff.

I reckon they'd make the £1000 pretty quickly.

Why does one of the links go to the Wye website?

Of course we do! I'm willing to bet quite a bit that we've had Charity Weeks longer than you've had Rag Weeks.

I was just interested to know why the link went to us. After all. We're sweet and innocent down here :)

One of the best things about Wye, apart from the open air etc.. is that they have kept the "old" college crest of IC right smack bang in the middle of the new look website.... http://www.wye.ac.uk - well done!

Indeed we did. And much rejoicing (in the local pub) was had by all, on account of the C&G team managing to accomplish the task on only the second attempt!

The event was filmed, and shall be up on stoic's website some time after the weekend.

Massive thanks to the Wye lot for their hospitality. It was a great day.

OK, everything's up on our website now, including downloads.

Hoping to get another chance to go down to Wye soon!
