Members of council elected at the meeting included Tom Tibbits, who was elected to the recently created post of Welfare Campaigns Officer, and all 16 available positions for ordinary members of council; Zhao Ding, Aaisha Latif, Elizabeth Carter, Guy Strelitz, Christian Morgenstern, Sebastian Tallents, Talal Jamil, Lucy Abbot, Shiv Chopra, John Collins, Sarah Khan, Tim Li, Sameena Ameera Misbahuddin, Ahmad Moolla, Sam Rorke and Dominik Von Lavonte.
Elections for ordinary members of other Union committees were also carried out with Andrew Smith, Judith Baxter, Tim Harcourt and Tom Tibbits being elected to Trading Committee; Tim Harcourt, Phil Power and Nicola Williams elected to Services Committee; Judith Baxter elected to Retail Committee and James Devine, Tim Harcourt, Phil Power and Nicola Williams elected to House Committee. This leaves 3 positions remaining vacant on Retail Committee and one vacant place on Services Committee.
The election of members to the Student Development Committee was delayed till a motion on the re-composition of this committee be considered, or as is optimistically coined in the Elections Report, "passed", by council.
Delegates to University of London Union Council were also elected. Imperial College Union is allocated 5 positions on the ULU council this year, a reduction on last year's allocation due to a decrease in IC's student numbers relative to other University of London institutions. One of those seats is automatically reserved for the ICU President, however this year's President, Mustafa Arif, has relinquished his place since he already sits on ULU Council having been elected as its representative on UL Committee for Student Activities and Management. Council mandated that the Deputy President for Finance and Services, Mike Moate and Deputy President for Education and Welfare, Katherine McGinn should sit on ULU council. Alex Coby and Alon Or-Bach were elected as ordinary members of ULU council. This leaves one vacant space however Council mandated the Deputy President for Clubs and Societies, Richard Walker to fill this seat in the interim period until this seat is filled.
The position of Union Web Editor was not filled since no nominations were received before the meeting and Returning Officer, Mustafa Arif, forgot to open up nominations from the floor.
The controversial timing of the meeting didn't prevent all 16 available positions for ordinary member of council being filled, including filling allocations for all faculties. The pressure of the timing was evident however as numbers within the room dwindled throughout the course of the meeting, particularly towards 2pm when many people left, presumably to attend lectures or labs. At around 2pm, following the elections, the meeting was found to be inquorate and hence closed.
